25.9.2024 (Week 1) Vanessa Kei Kurniadi / 0360525 Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media Motion Graphics and Compositing - Week 1 INSTRUCTIONS Week 1 During the first week, we had an on-site class with Mr. Fauzi, where we received a briefing about our semester activities. Mr. Fauzi provided us with the MIB to review, and he also presented some of the tasks we will be undertaking this semester, along with examples of works from previous students. To start the semester, Mr Fauzi assigned us the task of researching motion graphics on the Internet. Our job is to list three of the best motion graphics we found in the given Google Docs and explain why we love them. In the Google Docs, we also give the link to our e-portfolio as well as our Pinterest board, which most likely is for sir to see our creative thinking process. We need to know what the story is about, what we as an author want to convey, and the specification of the characters, time, and even space. The story that I made up is actually inspired by me and my sister, so it is fairly easy for me to create the whole foundation and the background of the character's personality. Here is the overview that I made of the short story: fig 1.1 Overview of my story, Dear Sister Story script: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oDzc0uMHujZFDH3E5G7PQn8sRBYzrAVI6ABRHevmDj w/edit?usp=sharing Project 2: Pitch Bible fig 2.1 Pitch Bible The pitch bible serves as a way...

For week 3 deadline, we're only instructed to make a solid non-stretch ball since the squash-and-stretch ball is gonna be taught in week 3's class. First off we were taught the basics, including how we can apply a bone structure to move a shape to it's desired form. This technique will be useful when we need to apply complicated forms like a full body character. fig 1.1 applying bone to a shape Now we proceeded to learn how to make a basic bouncing ball animation. In class, we were taught step by step on how to make a soccer ball bounce animation. PROCESS Soccer: First, we need to determine the location of the camera and how w...
