13.11.2023 - 27.11.2023 (Week 12 - Week 14) Vanessa Kei Kurniadi / 0360525 Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media 3D Modeling - Character Modeling INSTRUCTION In this task, we were instructed to make a character model based on what we've learned this semester. We can take the pose blueprints/character models sheet from the internet and use it to create our own modelling. Mr Kamal noted that we shouldn't make characters that are too simple for this task if we want to get a good mark. He suggested that we pick something that would be a bit challenging for our skills. So I try to look for a character that won't be too easy but isn't too difficult for me to make. After some thinking I decided to make the model of Judy Hopps from Zootopia. fig 1.1 Judy Hopps from Zootopia So first off, I tried to look for a good blueprint that I could use to work with, and I found this one. ...

30.10.2023 - 17.11.2023 (Week 10 - Week 12) Vanessa Kei Kurniadi / 0360525 Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media 3D Modeling - Theme Base Scene Modeling INSTRUCTIONS In this task, we are instructed to create a Theme Base Scene Modeling. Mr Kamal provided some examples in the Google document, but he said we don't have to follow those themes. We can make a theme we like. fig 1.1 given examples from Mr Kamal The examples are not ones I can do when I have very limited time and basic skills. I also prefer a more simple-looking, eye-friendly theme. So my first thought is what exactly is the setting that I wanna make. I took a long ponder until I decided that I would make my favourite room: the bedroom. The bedroom is my safe place and I spend a long time there either doing something I like or doing assignments. My first step is to create the floor so I have a...

16.10.2023 - 6.10.2023 (Week 7 - Week 10) Vanessa Kei Kurniadi / 0360525 Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media 3D Modeling - Hard Surface Modeling INSTRUCTIONS In this task, we were instructed to make a model that falls into one of these categories: - a weapon - a vehicle - a robot - a machine After thinking for a while, I decided to make a weapon from a game called Valorant. The weapon is a pistol called a Classic in the game. For this task, I'm making the Prime skin of the Classic. fig 1.1 Prime Classic For this task, I used the method of only making half the main body for me to mirror later. I actually plan on using this technique on everything but I decided small objects are fine to be left alone, so I just make them and make sure they can't be selected so they will stay in place. I open the Valorant ap...

28.8.2023 - 18.9.2023 (Week 1 - Week 4) Vanessa Kei Kurniadi / 0360525 Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media 3D Modeling - Exercises LECTURES Week 1 In the first week, Mr Kamal gave us an introduction about him and about the module. He started by showing past works and what we are encouraged and not encouraged to do with the tasks. Afterwards, we started by getting to know how to navigate through Blender. Week 2 In the second week, we were taught how to make simple objects by using primitive shapes such as spheres, cylinders, cones, cubes, etc. Mr Kamal also taught us how to do the rendering and the lighting techniques. We were also given the task to make a primitive model in Blender due next week. Week 3 In the third week, Mr Kamal gave us more in-depth techniques we can do to cylinder shapes. We learnt about the edit mode, vertex, edges, and faces. We were told about inset, lop ...
