Experience
For me personally, doing the collage is a bit challenging but fun at the same
time. I had absolutely no idea what to do with all the pieces and objects I
have but when I finally got into it there are no limit on what I can do with
them. The next thing I know I got so immersed in the making of each of the
compositions and had so much doing them.
Both of the photo imaging felt much simpler to do, but at the same time I
always want to keep them as realistic as I can so I pay lots of attention to
the details to make sure they look "realistic". Me having basics in Photoshop
helps me to do the task quicker but I still wanna make sure I am satisfied
with what I'm making.
Observation
Since most of our work is digital and directly sent to the private submission
place in google classroom, I can't really see a lot of my friend's work. But
during physical collage, I find it fascinating how different every people
makes their composition. Some look neat and some look messy, but the design is
flexible and subjective so I did not make any further judgment, though, by the
looks of some of their faces, I can see that they are proud of it.
More than anything, the workshop session was wonderful. Everyone seems very
happy and we get the chance to get to know each other more and even help each
other. Everyone has been so welcoming and kind and I can't ask for more.
Finding
I first found it hard to work on a Mac for the first time. Some buttons,
especially the command button, is used instead of control in Mac PCs, and I
needed some time to get used to it. But overall I found the experience really
fun. I also now know how to do some basics in Adobe After Effects. It's as
hard as I can imagine, but at least now I can use it with the minimum basics,
so I'm feeling proud and satisfied that I've learned a new skill this
semester.
